Delhi blasts: Raveena Tandon, Vijay Sidharth Malhotra lead celebs grief after Red Fort tragedy

Following the high-intensity blast outside Delhi’s Red Fort that claimed at least eight lives, members of the film fraternity have expressed their shock and grief over the tragedy.

Actor Raveena Tandon was among the first to react, calling it horrible news. Taking to X, she wrote, “Condolences to all those bereaved families who lost their loved ones in the Delhi blast. Horrible news.”

Sonu Sood also shared his heartbreak, posting, “My heart reaches out to everyone impacted by today’s tragic blast near the Red Fort in Delhi. Let’s support the victims, look out for each other, and commit to peace.”

From the South film industry, TVK Vijay’s official social media handle issued a statement of solidarity: “Deeply shocked and saddened by the news of car explosion near Red Fort Metro, Delhi that has claimed precious lives. My heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. Wishing speedy recovery to all those injured.”

Actor Sidharth Malhotra took to Instagram to show his support, writing, “My heart goes out to everyone affected by the Red Fort blast. Delhi, stay strong and stay safe.”

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni echoed the collective sorrow, posting on her Instagram story, “My prayers for those who have lost their lives and their families and for those who are injured. Saddened at the Red Fort Blast, may they find the culprits and punish them severely. Prayers and more prayers.”

The explosion, which occurred around 7 pm on Monday near a traffic signal between Gates 1 and 4 of the Red Fort Metro Station, reportedly originated from a Hyundai i20 car. The tragic incident has heightened security concerns across the national capital.
