Irrfan Khan turns suave for ‘Jazbaa’

Days after unveiling Jazbaa’s first poster at Cannes Film Festival, which featured the movie’s leading lady Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Bollywood director Sanjay Gupta has made public a second poster with actor Irrfan Khan.

In the new poster, the Piku star sports a black leather jacket and aviators against a backdrop of a cityscape. He is playing a suspended cop in the action drama.

Khan’s stylish new avatar in the film is a departure from the usual unkempt look in his oeuvre.

“HERE IT IS. Presenting Irrfan in JAZBAA. I’ve always enjoyed doing a complete makeover with all my heroes. Amitji [Amitabh Bachchan], Sanju [Sanjay Dutt], Anil [Kapoor], Jackie [Shroff], Ajay [Devgn], Saif [Ali Khan], Sunil [Shetty], John [Abraham] and now Irrfan,” Gupta posted on Twitter.

Jazbaa is Rai Bachchan’s first project in five years.

Gupta is also returning to the silver screen for the first time since his 2013 crime drama Shootout at Wadala.

The trailer of the film, which also stars Shabana Azmi and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles, will be unveiled in Mumbai soon. The movie releases in India on October 9.
