DeepVeer Day: Bollywood couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh give us #couplegoals

Right then – it’s time to celebrate. This is Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s third anniversary! Fans – and that includes us - are now referring to the special day as DeepVeer Day. But it’s not because of nothing that we love this power couple. Here’re all the reasons the world is rooting for this good looking pair.

Singh and Padukone, who first laid eyes on each other on the sets of the movie ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela’, are each other’s biggest cheerleaders. When Singh took home a Filmfare Award for his turn as a rapper from the streets in ‘Gully Boy’, he posted a candid picture with an even more candid caption, calling her his biggest cheerleader.

Singh is usually an energy powerhouse but when push comes to shove he will power down to match Padukone’s composure. Two years ago, for instance, the couple decided on low-key celebrations for their anniversary; they spent the day at the Tirupati Balaji and Padmavathi temples in Andhra Pradesh then headed to The Golden Temple in Amritsar.

It’s not just about what they say about each other – although the compliments don’t hurt; they show fans how well they get along. From engaging in banter to taking on memes, these two make for a viral pair.

Padukone is one of the few stars who’ve made their mark overseas. When her debut movie ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’ came out, Singh posted a photo on his Instagram account with a cab that had the words xxx written on it.

They may be dressed to impress but it’s not incidental – this is one very, very coordinated couple. Whether it’s walking around in casuals or going all-out in crazy colour, they do it together.

Ah that old debate of facial hair … Singh was known for a long time for his bushy mustache, which he allowed Padukone to just chop off.

Padukone is a good cook, if her Insta feed is anything to go by and Singh regularly enjoys this skill.
