UAE elected president of Arab Centre for Tourism Media

Hussain Al Manaie, a senior journalist from state news (WAM), won a landslide victory in the election held in Cairo on the sidelines of the fifth Arab tourism media forum.

Al Manaie beat two tough rivals from Egypt and Sudan to lead the centre for a two-year term as president.

Forty-eight people from radio and TV stations and print media from 17 countries took part in the event.

Egypt’s Khalid Khalil was elected deputy chairman and his native Mustafa

Abdul Moneim secretary general. Saudi Arabia Mohammad Al Mousa will lead the board of trustees.
