Manila: The uber-luxury property market in Manila is on a roll.
This time, a 1,749-sqm (18,826 sq ft) penthouse could be yours for $14.7-million (Php855 million), the priciest of its type so far here.
It’s the largest penthouse on the market. But it’s been taken, developers said.
The buyer was not named. It's been dubbed as the new face of luxury living in the Philippine capital.
The developer, Singapore-based The Banyan Group, has announced that all the penthouse units were already taken at the under-construction Banyan Tree Manila Bay, a massive mixed-use project.
Deluxe units
Deluxe units, which offer unrivalled panoramic views of Manila Bay, and ranging in size from 988 sqm (10,742 sqft) ) to 1,749 sqm ($18,826 sq ft) were snapped up, with international investors driving demand.
“The overwhelming response to Banyan Tree Manila Bay’s initial release is a testament to the strength of the luxury real estate market in the Philippines,” said Martin Taylor, COO of Banyan Tree Manila Bay, was quoted by Bilyonaryo as saying.
Located in Parañaque City, one of the 16 component cities of Metro Manila, this 20,000 sqm (2-hectare) project was started in 2022, and seeks to redefine luxury.
In just six months, 30% of Banyan Tree Manila Bay’s premium units have been snapped up — proof that property investors can’t resist a prime address!
