Dubai: Nokia will soon announce the shipment of two of its latest N series multimedia phones, the Nokia N80 and Nokia N71.
Both models will go on sale in the Middle East starting next week. The N80 and N71 join Nokia's flagship music device, the N91, which was introduced into the region market last week.
Nokia's Multimedia Business Director for the Middle East and Africa, Zsolt Menesi, said he expects robust growth in sales this year as a result of the latest
additions.
"We expect strong performance this year for Nokia in the UAE and the region, even faster than the global growth," said Mensi.
"The Middle East, especially the UAE and Saudi Arabia, is a very important market for us, and with the recent launch of the new N series multimedia computers, we expect even more," he added. Menesi said Nokia welcomes competition with other companies and that Nokia is in a good position in the local market.
"The Nokia N80 and N71 devices include a new feature which helps transferring contacts, calendar and gallery files between compatible Nokia devices, without having to use a personal computer. In addition, you can use your old and new compatible Nokia devices in parallel, as you can easily synchronise data between them.
Menesi added that Nokia was working hard with the likes of Etisalat and du to make sure that the so called next-generation phones could be used to their full potential.
