DP World chairman meets with UK ambassador to UAE

Chairman discusses trade, business and maritime issues

Dubai: Sultan Ahmad Bin Sulayem, DP World’s chairman and chairman of ports, customs and free zone corporation (PCFC), met with the UK ambassador to the UAE to discuss trade, business and maritime issues, according to a statement on Thursday.

The UK ambassador, Philip Parham, was given a tour of DP World’s Jebel Ali facility and was briefed on the operational efficiencies.

The UK ranked in the list of Dubai’s trade partners in the first half of 2014, totalling Dh19.4 billion, including Dh12.1 billion of imports, Dh2.8 billion of exports and Dh4.4 billion of re-exports, according to Thursday’s statement.
