Emirates Skywards miles now redeemable for flydubai flights

Dubai: Emirates Skywards members can now redeem their miles for Classic Rewards on all flydubai flights, giving them the option to use miles to cover the full cost of tickets in any cabin, starting from 5,000 miles.

This marks a major upgrade to the joint loyalty programme of Emirates and flydubai, which has used a shared miles system since 2018. The new option complements the existing cash+miles feature, allowing members more flexibility when booking flights.

Bookings using Classic Rewards can be made on emirates.com, while cash+miles redemptions can also be done through flydubai.com.

Executives from both airlines, including Emirates Group Chairman Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, were present at the signing ceremony for the new agreement.

The update comes as flydubai expands its network to more than 130 destinations across 55 countries and continues to build on its strong codeshare with Emirates. Skywards, recently named the world’s top airline loyalty programme, has over 30 million members globally.
