Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi lauds Dubai Airshow

Shaikh Mohammad says UAE is keen today to enter into aviation industry and defence technology

Dubai: General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Wednesday lauded the success of Dubai Airshow.

He said after touring Dubai International Airshow 2011, "Dubai Airshow has grown in terms of advancement and number of world major exhibitors, visitors or deals. This reflects significance of Dubai Airshow as a major exemplary launch pad for manufacturers to showcase their various products to the countries in the region and meet the market requirements."

Shaikh Mohammad added that the UAE is keen today to enter into aviation industry and defence technology with dependence on qualified Emirati cadres to acquire the latest technology in this respect through effective partnership between the local companies and international ones.

"As we celebrate the 40th anniversary of our union, we are certainly sure that our endeavours for progress, prosperity and welfare are limitless," he said.

The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince praised the efforts of organising committee, wishing them more successes in the next editions. "They have proven Emiratis are efficient when it comes to managing and organising major sessions," he said.

He visited a number of pavilions of major exhibitors at Dubai Airshow. Shaikh Mohammad toured the local, Arab and international companies' pavilions, which include the demonstrations of aviation industry technology. He was briefed about the latest aviation and space technology and devices for airports and modern air defence systems.
