Vijay Singh, three-time major champion and his son Qass, won the 36-hole PNC Championship played at the Ritz Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Florida.

This is the 16th time they have played in the event, they first played together in the tournament in 2003 when Qass was just 13 years old.

They shot two rounds of 59 for a total of 118, 26 under par, the first time in the history of the tournament that a team has broken 60 in both rounds in the scramble format and won by two shots over defending champions John Daly and his son Little John Daly and 2020 winners Justin Thomas and his father, who shot 120, to be tied second.

“This is what we wanted forever,” said Qass, now 32 and working in insurance.

Thrilled and happy

“So I’m thrilled. I’m so happy. This is already the best week, so this is just making it… no words can describe. It’s going to be a memory I’m going to have forever.”
