Dubai: Parrots, renowned for their vibrant feathers, playful charm, and extraordinary talent for mimicking human speech, have long captured the hearts of people worldwide. Known for their intelligence and problem-solving skills, these birds often steal the spotlight in viral videos. Yet, these captivating birds possess a surprising and unconventional skill — they can expertly extract teeth!

A recent viral video from Foshan, China, has brought this unusual skill into the spotlight. The clip begins with a young boy holding a parrot in his right hand. He carefully moves the bird closer to his mouth, where a loose, wobbly tooth awaits extraction. What happens next is astonishing: the parrot uses its strong, precise beak to grasp the tooth and swiftly pull it out.

After the extraction, the boy moves the parrot away and hands it to his mother standing nearby. The ‘avian dentist’ then opens its beak, dropping the freshly extracted tooth into her hand. This marked the end of the boy’s journey with baby teeth, as the feathered helper completed its task with remarkable skill.

While this practice might sound unconventional, it is not unheard of in some cultures. Parrots’ strong beaks and precise movements make them surprisingly adept at extracting loose baby teeth. The video has since captured the internet's imagination, further solidifying the parrot’s reputation as one of nature’s most intriguing and versatile creatures.
