Watch: Tommy Fleetwood makes a hole-in-one from 30,000 feet in Dubai
Tiger Woods hitting balls off the Burj Al Arab helipad now has a rival for the greatest golf stunt in Dubai – Tommy Fleetwood making a hole-in-one from a cargo plane flying over the Emirate.
The Dubai resident, who won the Dubai Invitational last month, can be seen in a video on DP World Tour’s Instagram account attempting the jaw dropping feat, which is followed by a skydiver tracking its descent from the plane to the hole at Dubai Creek Resort, in an attempt to check if the ball landed inside.
While we’d love this to be real, it’s of course the work of CGI. The man behind it all? Brandon Baum, a content creator that specialises in visual effects and boasts 15M+ followers and 10B+ views across his social media platforms.
“Brandon was over there (Dubai) and he's obviously been amazing with content,” said Fleetwood when asked about the stunt following the first round of the Genesis Invitational.
“Yeah, I guess he just was doing a collaboration with the DP World Tour and I was the lucky one who got to go through the whole process of making something really cool.
“It seems like it's gone down pretty well, got a lot of views. It looks really cool."
