Sharjah developer drops anchor on the beachfront

Al Luluyah in Khorfakkan and Al Hira in Sharjah will be mixed-use destinations

Sharjah: The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has launched two beach-side developments worth Dh197 million.

These will contribute to the emirate’s expanding retail, tourism and hospitality infrastructure.

The Al Luluyah Beach in Khorfakkan and Al Hira Beach in Sharjah city will include a mix of attractions. The Al Luluyah Beach development plans also includes a women-only beach.

Marwan bin Jassim Al Sarkal, Executive Chairman of Shurooq, said these will support leisure, social interaction and community development.

The work on the Dh110 million Al Luluyah project is scheduled for completion by November 2022 and that on the Dh87 million Al Hira Beach in October this year.

Shurooq has also announced plans to implement Phase 2 of Khorfakkan Beach project that will encompass development of the remaining 1 kilometre coastline at the destination.
