Dubai: Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has announced that distance learning will continue for all private educational institutions in the emirate until Friday, 6 March, as a precautionary measure in light of ongoing regional developments.

In a statement posted on X, the regulator said the safety and wellbeing of the education community remained its highest priority.

It urged parents, students and educators to rely on official government sources for accurate information and to avoid circulating unverified reports.

The move follows a nationwide decision by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to extend remote learning across the country until the same date.

The measure applies to all students, as well as academic and administrative staff, in public and private schools and universities throughout the UAE.

In a joint statement, the two ministries said teaching and learning would continue remotely under established assessment frameworks.

They added that developments would be closely monitored and that additional measures would be introduced if required to safeguard students and the wider educational community.
