Global Wealth Conference to Open May 31 in London with heavy Middle East presence

Event will make launch of Tourism Infrastructure Fund that will target MENA opportunities



The Global Wealth Conference is organised by Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute, with the latest summit seeing more than 40 sovereign funds represented.

Dubai: The Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute will run its Global Wealth Conference on May 31 and June 1 in London.

Sovereign wealth funds directly invested $14.66 billion into the UK in 2022, compared to $8.205 billion in 2021. These include Mubadala Investment Company, the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia, Singapore’s GIC Private Limited, and Canadian pension plans such as CDPQ, the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, CPP Investments.

The GWC conference will be attended by 40 sovereign wealth funds, 50 plus family offices, more than 30 pension and public funds, and others.

To date, over 60 distinguished Middle Eastern families and institutions have registered, constituting an impressive 20 per cent of the total attendees, said Lakshmi Narayanan, Chairman of the Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute. « The conference will witness the momentous launch of the $20 billion Tourism Infrastructure Fund, dedicated to catalyzing development in the MENA region.”
