APL Apollo Tubes to set up new pipe plant in Umm Al Quwain

APL Apollo Tubes Ltd, largest steel pipe producers in India, has planned to set up new pipe plant in Umm Al Quwain with the initial investment of $100 million to provide the best quality and the widest range of hollow section to the customers in Gulf region (GCC).

New plant in UAQ will have the capacity of 0.50 million ton, producing pipes from 12x12mm to 300x300mm. APL Apollo is also going to start a new line for black annealed CR in India which will be available for deliveries in the Gulf market from next month onwards.

APL Apollo also have plan to supply hollow section up to 500x500mm x 20mmx12metre from its new factory in India by end of next month.

Utkarsh Dwivedi, CEO, APL Apollo FZE, said, "At present APL Apollo has installed the capacity of 2.6 million ton which will be 4million ton by end of next year once the entire expansion project is completed".
