5.3-magnitude earthquake hits southern Iran, no impact on UAE

Abu Dhabi: The National Seismic Network of the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) recorded an earthquake that struck southern Iran on Saturday evening.

The tremor measured a magnitude of 5.3 and was recorded at 04:37pm UAE time on Saturday, according to the NCM.

The tremor was not felt in the UAE and had no impact on the country, the NCM confirmed.
