NCM warns of strong winds, dust storms, and possible rainfall in the east and south of UAE
Dubai: Brace for a hot weekend ahead as temperatures soar across the country. According to AccuWeather, Dubai will see highs ranging between 34°C and 42°C, while Abu Dhabi will be even hotter, with temperatures climbing up to 44°C.
Authorities advise residents to limit outdoor activities, especially during peak afternoon hours, due to extreme heat and dusty conditions.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather alert for Friday (2:30pm to 8pm), warning of convective cloud formation possibly accompanied by rainfall, as well as fresh to strong winds causing blowing dust and sand, particularly in eastern and southern regions.
Saturday’s forecast is expected to be fair to partly cloudy, with chances of localized rain due to convective clouds forming in the afternoon. Southeasterly to northeasterly winds may stir dust, with speeds reaching up to 40 km/h. Seas will remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.
Similar conditions are expected to continue through Sunday.
