Dubai: The intense summer heat continues to grip the UAE, with dangerously high temperatures prompting warnings about dehydration and heat-related illnesses.

According to AccuWeather, Abu Dhabi is experiencing very hot conditions today with plenty of sunshine and a high of 44°C, raising concerns of heatstroke and dehydration. Tonight, the capital will remain clear and very warm, with temperatures hovering around 34°C.

In Dubai, residents can expect hazy sunshine with highs reaching 42°C. The evening will also stay clear and warm, with nighttime temperatures around 34°C.

Meanwhile, the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) reports that today’s weather will be fair to partly cloudy, with a chance of convective cloud formation in eastern and southern areas, potentially bringing afternoon rainfall.

Temperature highs are forecasted to range from:

·         43°C to 48°C in internal regions

·         40°C to 45°C in coastal areas and islands

·         32°C to 38°C over mountainous areas

Winds will be light to moderate, occasionally fresh to strong with cloud activity, blowing dust and sand particularly from the southeast to northeast, at speeds of 15 to 25 km/h, gusting up to 50 km/h.

The sea conditions will remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea, offering some respite for coastal activities.

Health officials are urging residents to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activity, and avoid direct sunlight during peak hours.
