Sharjah Police has also launched the ‘License for the Children of Givers’ initiative.
Sharjah Police is taking meaningful steps to support high school graduates by launching unique community initiatives that reward academic excellence and honor dedicated families.
One of the key initiatives is the ‘Excellence License’, which offers free driving licenses to the top 10 graduates from government schools in Sharjah. This special offer covers all the costs — from opening the driving file to eye tests, training sessions, and both theoretical and practical exams, right up to receiving the final license. The initiative is being carried out in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Sharjah Private Education Authority, Sharjah Driving Institute, and Belhasa Driving Institute.
Brigadier Khalid Mohammed Al Kay, Director of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department at Sharjah Police, explained that the initiative is designed to help outstanding students become more independent and responsible as they prepare for university life and future careers.
But the support doesn’t stop there. Sharjah Police also launched the ‘License for the Children of Givers’ initiative, which offers a 50 percent discount on driving training fees for graduates whose parents work in Sharjah Police. This initiative is available throughout the summer break.
Brigadier Al Kay emphasised that both initiatives reflect strong cooperation between government agencies and educational institutions. He said they aim to build a culture of safe driving among young people and encourage a spirit of excellence and responsibility. "These programs are a great example of how academic success can lead to valuable rewards that open doors to the future,” he added.
