Dubai: The Drishyam franchise is set to continue with a fourth instalment, as producer Antony Perumbavoor confirms another chapter is in the works.

Perumbavoor announced at the Mazhavil Manorama Awards, saying there would definitely be a fourth Drishyam film. His confirmation comes just months after the release of Drishyam 3, the third chapter in the Malayalam thriller franchise.

The success of Drishyam 3 has further raised expectations for the next chapter. The film crossed Rs 100 crore worldwide in just three days and Rs 200 crore in 10 days, eventually grossing around Rs 238.6 crore globally.

However, details about Drishyam 4 remain under wraps. While Perumbavoor has confirmed that another instalment is planned, director Jeethu Joseph and actor Mohanlal have not separately provided formal confirmation of their involvement in the fourth film.

Mohanlal has previously spoken about the possibility of Drishyam 4. Ahead of the third film’s release, he suggested that Georgekutty’s story could continue and even mentioned the possibility of a fourth or fifth instalment.

Jeethu Joseph has also said he remains open to another sequel but has stressed that he does not want to rush into one simply because the franchise has performed strongly. He has indicated that a compelling story and the right development for the characters would be essential before moving ahead.

The franchise began with Drishyam in 2013, followed by Drishyam 2 in 2021 and Drishyam 3 in 2026. Mohanlal’s Georgekutty has remained at the heart of the series, which combines family drama with crime and suspense.

The first two films were remade in several Indian and international languages, helping turn Drishyam into one of Indian cinema’s most widely adapted thriller franchises. You can add these two lines:

Ajay Devgn’s Hindi Drishyam 3, titled Drishyam: The Conclusion, is set to continue the remake franchise with Devgn returning as Vijay Salgaonkar. The film is scheduled for release on October 2, 2026, following the Malayalam version and marking the latest chapter in the Hindi adaptation series.

For now, fans will have to wait for further announcements on the cast, director, story, shooting schedule and release date of Drishyam 4.
