Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has issued official confirmation that the first day of Eid Al Fitr will fall on April 21, Friday.

On Thursday, the moon-sighting committee in the kingdom announced that April 20 would be the last day of the month of Ramadan and that Eid Al Fitr would be celebrated from Friday onwards.

Oman announced on Thursday that the first day of Eid Al Fitr would be celebrated there on Saturday, April 22.
