Ajman: Ajman Police have deployed 55 traffic patrols across the emirate as part of a comprehensive plan to ensure road safety and manage traffic flow during the Eid Al Adha holiday. The patrols will operate around the clock to ease congestion and deter dangerous driving.

Major Rashid Humaid bin Hindi, Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department, said the patrols are intended to regulate traffic, prevent bottlenecks, and address reckless behavior that could put road users at risk.

The plan will be activated starting the Thursday before Eid, a time when many residents head to markets and shopping centers. It will remain in effect throughout the holiday period. Special focus will be placed on areas near mosques, prayer grounds, entertainment venues, and shopping malls to ensure safety for worshippers and visitors alike.

Major bin Hindi also emphasized the importance of pedestrian safety, particularly in busy zones. The campaign aims to reduce accidents caused by speeding or distracted driving.

The traffic plan will continue for the duration of the Eid break to prevent incidents that could dampen the festive atmosphere. Police are urging all drivers — especially young motorists — to obey traffic laws, adhere to speed limits, and maintain safe distances to protect themselves and others on the road.
