Amid speculation over the ‘CBSE Result Date,’ fuelling anxiety among students and parents
Dubai: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to announce the Class 10 and 12 board exam results this week. Once released, results will be available at cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, and other official portals.
Although CBSE had earlier stated that results would be declared in the second week of May, recent developments, including Indian military action across the border, may impact the timeline. However, no official confirmation of a delay has been issued.
With most state boards and CISCE already declaring results, CBSE students and parents are increasingly anxious. Many cite stress over pending college admissions, entrance exams, and career decisions. Unofficial sources indicate the results could be released between May 8 and 13, but students continue to demand a confirmed date.
While the CBSE has not officially provided a reason for the delay in releasing the 2025 board exam results, there are several likely factors. These include the final stages of moderation and verification of marks, syncing results across multiple platforms such as the CBSE website and DigiLocker, and logistical coordination with national and state-level admission portals.
Technical updates or issues with result servers can also contribute to the lag. It’s worth noting that CBSE often opts not to issue formal announcements about delays—instead, it quietly releases results once everything is ready.
Amid widespread speculation on social media over the ‘CBSE Result Date,’ which has fueled anxiety among students, the CBSE has clarified that rumours of a first-week May release for 2025 are false. No official date has been announced yet. The board is actively tracking misinformation and issuing alerts via its official X account (@cbseindia29).
CBSE has urged students and parents to rely only on its official website and X handle for verified updates on Class 10 and 12 results, and to ignore unverified, stress-inducing content.
Students should remember that CBSE results are traditionally announced within a broad window between May and early June, with no fixed date each year. Provisional mark sheets made available online are accepted for most college admission processes, and access via DigiLocker usually remains unaffected even if there is a slight delay in website uploads.
While the wait can be stressful, it’s important to stay informed and patient—such delays are not uncommon and do not impact students' eligibility or the credibility of their results.
In the past, Class 10 results were released on May 13, 2024, and May 12, 2023. It is expected that the results will be announced around the same time this year. CBSE typically announces the Class 10 and Class 12 results on the same day. Students are advised to regularly check official CBSE websites—cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, and results.cbse.nic.in—for the latest updates.
