105 Emirati students to train in Islamic banking

Dubai: 105 Emirati students from various high schools, colleges, and universities in the UAE will participate in the annual Iktaseb programme, a summer training programme of Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB). The students will be given professional training opportunities for their future careers in Islamic banking and finance. For four weeks, participants will be introduced to the principles and workings of Sharia-compliant banking, before engaging in practical training in the day-to-day operations of the UAE’s leading Islamic bank. Students who have completed the programme will receive a certificate of completion from DIB and given priority in future hiring by the bank.
