Dubai’s Global Village announces extension of Season 29 in 2025

Dubai: Global Village, one of the UAE’s most popular family attractions, on Sunday announced the extension of the current season by one more week.

As per the announcement released on its social media channels, the multicultural destination in Dubai will close its doors for the Season 29 on May 18.

"You asked and we delivered! 7 extra days of A More Wonderful World. Season 29 is now extended until 18 May," the post said.

Extended opening hours

The destination also announced extended opening hours for the last week. "Welcoming you daily from 4pm to 1am," the post said.

Global Village usually opens from 4pm to 12am from Sunday to Wednesday and from 4pm to 1am from Thursday to Saturday.

The last week will see it opening till 1 am throughout the week, according to the latest announcement.

Huge rush on Sunday

On Sunday, May 11, the day the current season was supposed to end, thousands of visitors flocked to Global Village which had offered a range of special promotions to celebrate the end of Season 29.

Both UAE residents and tourists thronged the venue to grab last-minute bargains at country pavilions, enjoy dishes from around the world, and watch live shows and performances.

The final week’s offers included free entry for children under 12, unlimited Carnaval rides for Dh50, and new experiences for food and culture lovers.

Global Village has extended its closing date in multiple past seasons. Last year, the popular “Kids Go Free” offer was also extended.

However, the latest announcement did not confirm whether the end-of-season promotional offers would continue this year. When contacted, Global Village stated that more details will be shared on Monday.

The current season began on October 16, 2024, welcoming millions of visitors from across the UAE and beyond.

Since its debut in 1997 with just a few retail kiosks, Global Village has grown into one of Dubai’s leading seasonal outdoor attractions. This year’s edition brings together over 90 cultures across 30 pavilions, along with more than 175 rides, games, and attractions, offering a celebration of diversity, entertainment, and global culture for all ages.
