3 top skateboarders tackle 17 hectares of waterscape at The Atlantis’ Aquaventure during a lockdown

Dubai: What do you do when it’s time to drain a waterpark of hundreds of thousands of litters of water and shut it down for maintenance?
Three world-class skateboarders were invited in for some epic dry runs and slides, of course.
Alessandro Sorgente, Milton Martinez and Jan Hoffmann got to carve out 17 beachfront hectares of waterscape at Aquaventure Waterpark at Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai during this amazing waterpark lockdown.
The trio of intrepid skateboarders took to the temporarily dry slopes of Atlantis to make some concrete waves — quarter pipes on the water pipes.
How did they do it? Well, 100,000 litres of water was drained from two of the biggest waterslides in the world (Europe and the Middle East’s number one waterpark) and let three of Red Bull’s most talented athletes lose to drop, ollie and grind their way around the slides.
One of the guys even managed to drop the 14 metre Zoomerango wall at 35 Kilometers per hour.
