Filipino tennis star Alex Eala wasted no time getting to work after arriving in New York ahead of her US Open return.

US Open Tennis shared a video on Sunday showing Eala training at Arthur Ashe Stadium under the watchful eye of coach Joan Bosch.

The 21-year-old, currently ranked No. 20 in the world, has enjoyed a remarkable season and continued to climb the rankings, reaching several career highs. According to the WTA live rankings, Eala is projected to rise to a new best of No. 18.

The US Open main-draw ceremony is scheduled for later this week, with Eala set to begin her campaign in the mixed doubles alongside Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime, who is ranked No. 4 in the ATP standings.

Eala will also face world No. 16 Iva Jovic in the Stars of the Open exhibition match on August 27.

The US Open main-draw matches are scheduled to take place from August 30 to September 13.
