French footballer Paul Pogba has launched a charitable initiative to support displaced Palestinians in Gaza by providing hot meals during Ramadan.
Social media images revealed the distribution of free meals in the region, made possible through Pogba’s partnership with a local charity.
“Hunger knows no boundaries, and kindness has no limits. Together, we can make a difference by feeding those in need. A simple meal can bring hope, warmth, and strength to someone struggling. Let’s share our blessings and ensure no one goes to bed hungry,” Pogba wrote on his official Instagram account.
The campaign in support of Palestine has received widespread acclaim on social media, with many praising his show of solidarity. This isn’t the first time Pogba has expressed his support; he previously shared a photo of himself holding the Palestinian flag on the pitch, accompanied by the caption, “The world needs peace and love. Pray for Palestine.”
The former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder is now eligible to return to action after his 18-month doping suspension was lifted earlier this week.
Pogba, who has endured three turbulent years marked by injuries and inconsistent performances, is seeking a fresh start as he eyes a spot in the 2026 World Cup. Among his potential destinations is David Beckham’s MLS franchise, Inter Miami.
Once a key figure for club and country with 91 international caps, Pogba’s career has been hampered by a series of setbacks.
After leaving Manchester United in 2022, he rejoined Juventus for a second spell, but ongoing challenges, including injuries and off-field issues, persisted. In August 2023, a failed drug test following a match in Italy led to a four-year doping ban, later reduced on appeal.
Pogba attributed the positive test to a food supplement prescribed by a doctor he consulted in the United States.
