Manchester United midfielder Davide Petrucci joins CFR Cluj

London: Italian midfielder Davide Petrucci has left Manchester United and joined Romanian club CFR Cluj after being released by mutual consent.

The 22-year-old moved to Old Trafford from hometown club Roma in 2008 but was unable to break into the first team at Manchester United.

He spent time out on loan at Peterborough, Royal Antwerp and Charlton.

A United statement read: “Everyone at Manchester United would like to wish Davide well at his new club.”
