Dubai: There’s something magical about the UAE—whether it’s the golden hues of a Dubai sunset, the quiet stillness of mangroves at dawn, or the surprise of spotting vibrant birdlife in the middle of the city. In this edition of our Readers’ Gallery, we showcase breathtaking images captured by residents who paused to admire the beauty around them—and chose to share it with us. From sky-high views and tranquil landscapes to rare wildlife moments, these photos remind us that wonder is never far away in the Emirates.

"Dubai’s magical skyline" - Dr Naveen Aggarwal, a specialist anaesthetist in Ajman, captured this breathtaking shot of Dubai’s iconic skyline silhouetted against a fiery orange sky. Framed by the unmistakable silhouette of the Burj Khalifa, the image is a striking reminder of how magical the UAE looks at golden hour. A simple skyline, transformed into a moment of wonder. ‘Every day in the UAE is a different story — every angle, a new perspective,’ says Dr Aggarwal.

"Cotton candy skies" - This breathtaking shot from a plane was captured by Suganya Shaji, a homemaker and passionate photographer, who has called Abu Dhabi home for over 20 years. While travelling, she spotted these dreamy, cotton-candy-like clouds swirling together under a beautifully lit sky. ‘This is proof that magic often floats right.

"Nature’s beauty at its best" - Noushin Sajjad captured this breathtaking shot of Jubail Mangrove Park in Abu Dhabi at sunrise. Sajjad says that one can enjoy a calm and unique experience at sunrise, with a boardwalk stretching about 2km. During high tide, the mangroves are transformed into a mesmerising landscape, with water all around, creating a mirror effect that reflects the blue sky and lush greenery.

In another stunning image, Sajjad highlights a serene spot within the park where fluffy clouds drift across a vivid blue sky, mirrored in the still waters below and framed by vibrant green mangroves—a perfect blend of nature’s calm and colour.

"A hidden gem nestled between Hatta’s peaks" - Adarsh Padmanabhan’s stunning shot showcases the beauty of Hatta’s mountains. The image features jagged peaks, crystal-clear waters, and a vibrant blue sky. Visitors glide across the water in boats, while others soak in the serene beauty of the day. It’s a perfect snapshot of Hatta’s tranquil charm— a hidden jewel in the UAE’s rugged landscape. Adarsh, an Indian who has lived in the UAE for 21 years, resides in Abu Dhabi, works as a project manager at Al Maktoum International Airport.

"Epic standoff in a serene landscape" - Marzia Bonino, a lawyer who has called Dubai home for 17 years, captured this epic flamingo standoff at Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary. Two feisty birds are involved in a face-to-face showdown while the rest are reflected in the mirror-like waters, peacefully going about their business. Nature’s drama meets serene beauty!
