UAE braces for unstable weather as rain chances persist through Thursday
Winds could reach 45km/h on Wednesday, raising dust and sand in some areas
Dubai: The UAE is set for several more days of unsettled weather, with rain possible through Thursday, after parts of the country recorded showers for three consecutive days and heavy downpours in Al Ain caused water to flow across roads and accumulate in some areas.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said Monday will be fair to partly cloudy, with convective clouds expected to develop over eastern areas during the afternoon and a chance of rainfall.

Conditions also will become humid overnight and into Tuesday morning over some coastal areas. Southeasterly to northeasterly winds will be light to moderate, at speeds of 10 to 25km/h, reaching 35km/h at times. Seas will be slight in both the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.
The possibility of rain will extend to more areas on Tuesday, with the NCM forecasting fair to partly cloudy conditions and convective clouds developing over eastern and southern parts of the country during the afternoon, accompanied by rainfall in some areas.
Humidity will increase overnight and into Wednesday morning over some coastal and inland areas, with a chance of fog or mist forming.
Winds will remain southeasterly to northeasterly at 10 to 25km/h, reaching 40km/h at times around convective clouds and potentially stirring up dust.
The unsettled conditions are expected to continue on Wednesday, when convective clouds could again develop over eastern and southern areas during the afternoon before extending into some inland parts of the country, bringing another chance of rain.
Winds are forecast to become stronger around clouds, ranging from 15 to 30km/h and reaching 45km/h, with blowing dust and sand possible.
Conditions will again turn humid overnight, with fog or mist possible over some coastal areas on Thursday morning.
Thursday is forecast to be fair to partly cloudy, with another possibility of convective clouds forming over eastern areas during the afternoon and bringing rainfall.
Winds will be light to moderate, becoming fresh at times around clouds and reaching 40km/h, potentially causing blowing dust.
Humidity is expected to increase overnight and into Friday morning over some coastal areas, while seas will remain slight in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.
