UAE President, Vice-President, Rulers, Crown Princes and officials mark Flag Day

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Thursday hoisted the nation's flag at the Sea Palace marking the UAE Flag Day, which is celebrated annually on November 3.

"As people across the UAE join together to raise the flag as one, we reflect on our country’s past and are optimistic for its future. The UAE people are united by a shared sense of national pride and a steadfast belief in the next generation who will lead our continued progress," Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed tweeted on the occasion of UAE Flag Day.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice -President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Thursday raised the Emirati flag marking the UAE Flag Day celebrated annually on November 3.

“Today, we hoisted the UAE flag along with a number of Emiratis representing part of our future. It is a day on which we consolidate the values of allegiance and loyalty in our generations and celebrate the symbol of our sovereignty and pride…a day on which we renew the pride in our unity and union. May Allah bless our flag, country and people,” Sheikh Mohammed said in a tweet.

Today, and every day, we unite to raise our flag, our symbol of pride and determination,” Sheikh Mohamed posted with the hashtag #UAEFlagDay. The video shows thousands of flags in the Flag Garden at Kite Beach in Dubai being used to form a portrait of Sheikh Mohamed.

Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and CEO, Expo City Dubai Authority on Thursday hoisted the UAE flag at Expo City Dubai’s Al Wasl Plaza in celebration of UAE Flag Day. The flag was raised as the UAE National Anthem echoed across the plaza, with the Expo City Dubai team joining to mark the occasion. Later this evening, the UAE colours will light up Al Wasl dome’s 360-degree projection surface.
