To the delight of his fans, Arab superstar Ragheb Alame picked Dubai as the perfect place to launch his 25-year anniversary album.
Superstar Arab singer Ragheb Alame celebrated 25 years of success by launching his latest album, Ba'cha'ak to a throng of screaming fans in Dubai.
And excited fans of all ages and nationalities turned out in force to celebrate with him.
Signing CDs along the way, Alame took the time to meet and greet his fans, interviewing youngsters about their life at school and the music they listen to while laughing with adults about the woes of getting older.
Alame also compered a charity auction for the original copy of his limited edition Ba'cha'ak album.
The much awaited return of Alame, after three years of touring and recording, was a major hit and fans were not left disappointed.
Alame has a huge fan base across the world and Viva Entertainment, which owns the world rights for his new album, has also ensured his tracks are available in both physical and digital formats via downloads.
Ba'cha'ak is Alame's 15th album from a varied and highly successful 25 year career. The limited edition album, which is exclusively available through Virgin Megastore, includes a DVD with never before seen, behind the scenes footage and memorable moments with Ragheb throughout his career.
Snapped up
The first of the "Golden Copies" of the limited edition Ba'cha'ak was snapped up by Mezna stores for Dh30,000 with the second scooped for Dh10,000 by Virgin Megastores.
And as Alame announced the money would be donated to Dubai Cares - a humanitarian initiative which aims to educate one million children in impoverished countries around the world - the crowd went wild with rapturous applause.
It was also a great day for little Malek who got the chance to shake hands and meet his idol after being the first person to buy the album at the counter of the Dubai music store.
Alame then surprised the youngster - who also donated Dh50 of his pocket money to Dubai Cares - by giving him two free tickets plus backstage passes for his upcoming Dubai concert expected in November.
