I long for naps at the weekend!

I’m constantly thinking about sleeping. I get only around three hours a night at the moment as my baby Noah is teething.

I normally sleep with a T-shirt over my head to keep the light out, too. I’m a light sleeper!

In terms of style, I’m a bit of a square…

Everything I wear is from DSquared2 – and has been since I discovered the brand in 2011. I love its casual clothes for the weekends, and the suits to get my game face on. I’m even wearing DSquared2 on the cover of my new single To Be Loved.

Happiness for me is fatherhood

My son Noah is 18 months and I can’t wait to have another one. Being a father makes me better at everything. My son has helped put everything in perspective; I’m a papa and a husband first.

I love old photos

I collect photographs by the late William Claxton. I met him in LA in 2007 and he agreed to shoot the cover for my album Call Me Irresponsible. I was so fat at the time and he made me look as good as I possibly could.

I dream of going on my next Disney holiday

One song that inspires me the most?

It’s got to be Bing Crosby’s It Had To Be You – it was a wake-up call to get into music. Growing up listening to jazz and swing, I fell in love with the genre. I’m one of the best in the world at what I do because I love what I do. Music connects us all.

Hanging in my ’hood

I’m constantly bumping into Canadian pianist and singer Diana Krall at the Starbucks down the street at weekends; we live close to each other. Bryan Adams just texted me a minute ago. The Canadian music fraternity is such a small business. We’re a little nation close to a massive country, so it brings us closer together.
