South Korean star Hyeri, who is currently starring in the high school thriller Friendly Rivalry, recently opened up about marriage for the first time since her public breakup with actor Ryu Jun-yeol. The conversation took place during her appearance on the show What is the Result of Hyeri’s Yongtarot Store? (EP.16) on LEEYONGJIN's YouTube channel, released on February 12.

In the video, South Korean comedian Lee Yong Jin asked Hyeri if she was interested in a tarot reading about her future marriage. After she agreed, he predicted that she would marry soon. When Lee Yong -jin offered to conduct the reading, Hyeri shared that she hopes to marry in her 30s.

Hyeri was also asked about her ideal type, to which she responded, “I prefer someone who's gentle and modest.” She clarified that physical appearance is not her top priority when choosing a partner. Additionally, she hopes her future husband will be “family-oriented.” However, Lee Yong Jin playfully dashed her hopes, joking that her tarot reading suggested it might be difficult for her to find such a man.

The Friendly Rivalry actress appeared slightly disheartened by the prediction, joking that news articles would soon claim she was unable to get married. Lee Yong Jin reassured her, saying she would marry in her 30s as she wishes.

Hyeri shared that she expects to think more seriously about marriage as she approaches 35. She believes it would be ideal for her to meet someone between the ages of 35 and 40 and settle down with him. However, she expressed that five years felt like a short time to get to know someone well enough to commit to a lifelong partnership.

Hyeri and Ryu Jun-yeol, who had been in a relationship for several years, broke up in 2023. While the exact reasons for their split have not been publicly disclosed, their breakup was described as a mutual decision to part ways amicably. In March 2024, Ryu Jun-yeol's new relationship with actress Han So-hee became public, leading to speculation about the timing of his breakup with Hyeri. Hyeri responded to these rumors by clarifying that she and Ryu Jun-yeol had already ended their relationship before his involvement with Han So Hee began. She expressed her feelings about the situation and apologised for any misunderstandings caused by her initial emotional response
