K-entertainment didn't slow down this week, and honestly, neither should you. BTS just gave Indian ARMYs their biggest reason to hope in years, dropping a Hindi-laced surprise that had fans dreaming out loud. Meanwhile, ENHYPEN rewrote records, with numbers that left even seasoned industry watchers doing a double take. And over on the small screen, two ratings juggernauts went head-to-head on Friday night while a certain fangirl-favourite heroine prepared to fight dirty. And there's a bittersweet goodbye from Seventeen's Vernon, and so you've got a week packed with comebacks, confrontations, and countdowns. Let's get into it.

ENHYPEN dominates global charts with new comeback

ENHYPEN kicked off the week with a massive comeback, releasing their mini album THE SIN : BLISS alongside title track Bloody Paradise on August 21. The release immediately swept international iTunes charts, landing at No. 1 on album charts in more than twenty countries and topping the singles chart in over a dozen markets. Domestically, the title track also grabbed the top spot on Bugs' realtime rankings the moment it dropped. Sales numbers were equally strong, Hanteo Chart reported nearly 1.8 million copies sold on day one, pushing this release past the million-copy mark and extending the group's streak of blockbuster first-day sales to seven albums in a row.

BTS gives Indian ARMYs something to dream about

BTS didn't confirm a tour stop, but they did send Indian fans into a frenzy this week. Through a collaboration with Google India and Google Gemini India, members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope and V appeared in a joint Instagram video imagining what a future trip to India could look like, with all seven members eventually chiming in to say "Namaste India."

Jin stood out for addressing fans directly in Hindi, asking how they'd been and telling them he'd missed them. It's the latest in a string of hints — India was notably left off the initial legs of BTS's ongoing world tour despite the country's large fanbase, and speculation has been simmering for weeks after HYBE India's CEO cryptically told followers to "start saving money," a post he later deleted. Nothing official has been announced, but between the tour's later-2026 and 2027 legs still being unveiled and HYBE's continued investment in the Indian market, ARMYs there aren't giving up hope.

Ratings battle heats up on Friday nights

Two Friday dramas posted strong numbers this week. Flex x Cop 2 hit a season-high rating for its latest episode, while MBC's A Bona Fide Killer held onto its position as the night's most-watched series overall, also topping the charts among viewers in the 20-54 demographic as it moves into the back half of its run.

Vernon says goodbye before enlisting

Seventeen's Vernon put out a solo single as a parting gift to fans ahead of his upcoming military service, continuing the wave of enlistment-related releases from idols this year.

Park Eun Bin gears up for a comeback of her own — on screen

Over on tvN, Spooky in Love is heading into a pivotal stretch. Having just fought off a boardroom takeover attempt from her own relatives, Park Eun Bin's character now finds herself framed for bribery by a scheming rival. Preview stills tease her fighting back with evidence of corporate corruption she's been quietly compiling, setting up a confrontation with both prosecutors and the press in the next episode, airing August 22.
