GSM will launch a premium, international school in Cairo
Global Schools Management (GSM), which operates over 165 schools, and educates over 45,000 students in the United States of America, Middle East, United Kingdom, and Africa has announced that it has partnered with leading real estate developer, Uptown 6 October to launch a premium, international school on in the Uptown 6th October development in Cairo, Egypt. The school will offer the UK National Curriculum and cater for up to 1680 students and is set to open in September 2027.
The partnership aims to launch the first premium international K–12 school in the Uptown 6 October project in West Cairo, with a total investment exceeding EGP 1.3 billion. This collaboration reflects both company’s' commitment to delivering a global educational model aligned with the aspirations of new generations and to enhancing the quality of education in Egypt.
Scheduled to open in 2027, the school will span 14,322 square meters with a built-up area of 20,000 square meters, accommodating up to 1,680 students across 70 classrooms equipped with advanced technology. The campus will include advanced facilities such as science and technology labs, performing arts studios, sports complexes, and dedicated spaces for collaborative learning, ensuring a comprehensive learning environment that meets the highest international standards.

Safanad and GSM announced initial investment of $200 million in the region’s education sector at the Future Investment Initiative (FII) 6 in October 2022, shortly after announcing the acquisition of BBD Education, a premier provider of professional education services and management for the growing schools’ market in the GCC. The Group acquired Crown Private School in Ajman in October 2023, a UK curriculum school with 1,100 students. The Group also announced its intentions to launch a super-premium school on Qetaifan Island, in Doha, Qatar.
