Send money for free with Transcash in UAE

Dubai: A first of its kind dual card which allows you to send money to your loved ones anywhere in the world, shop online, make purchases at retail outlets and do a lot more without the need to have a bank account has been launched in the UAE.

Using Transcash MasterCard Prepaid Money Sharing Cards, which can be bought at malls, supermarkets, Metro stations, petrol stations and retailers, the cardholder can get up to 10 supplementary cards on which he can load money and give to his family or friends anywhere in the world. Valid identifying documents of each supplementary card holder have to be provided to the company.

The original and supplementary cards can be used to shop at retail outlets, make online purchases, withdraw money at any of the 2.1 million ATMs worldwide where MasterCard prepaid cards are accepted. There is no need for a bank account or credit check of a customer to obtain these cards.

“These cards are ideal for expatriates, locals and also for people who do not have bank accounts,” Ali Al Ghaith, partner and managing director of Manayer Marketing Management LLC and Manayer Electronic Cards Trading LLC who are in charge of marketing and distributing TransCash cards in the UAE, told XPRESS.

“We are providing a lower cost alternative to mainstream banking and non-traditional financial service providers. These are more than just prepaid cards,” he said.
