It is already one of the most luxurious SUVs in the world and it’s now also one of the most practical too because the Bentayga is being offered in both four-seat and seven-seat configurations making it the “world's most versatile luxury vehicle” according to Bentley.

The British carmaker adds that these flexible seating options make the fancy SUV the “most practical luxury car Bentley has ever built”. Now available with enough space to accommodate a seven-member family in total comfort, in four-seat configuration it still doubles up as a luxury limousine. This new utility sure helps give it an edge over its rivals, even the recently unveiled Aston Martin DBX. And, combined with a trio of available engines (including the first true-luxury plug in hybrid) it helps to reinforce the Bentayga’s status within the luxury SUV segment.

It’s the Bentayga V8 and Speed models that can be had with up to seven seats while the Hybrid only comes with four. The more practical seven-seat format provides extra versatility without compromising in luxury (it still gets exquisite materials including rare wood trim, high-gloss carbon fibre, and hand-stitched leather trim) and if more boot space if needed all it takes is a push of a button for the third row to fold away electronically.

The cabin of Bentley’s all-terrain, all-purpose luxury car includes a centre console between the two rear seats that provides additional storage, USB charging sockets and a beautifully trimmed and quilted backboard to separate the cabin from the boot area.

The four-seat option offers the same impressive luxury by those in the front chairs and that includes 12-way electrical adjustment, heating, ventilation and massage functions. Between the rear seats is a centre console which provides additional storage, USB charging sockets and individual options such as Bentley Rear Entertainment, Bluetooth headphones, fold-down picnic tables and individual, Mulliner-Console Drinks Cooler.
