Decision comes after repeated calls and complaints from large segments of the public
Dubai: Kuwait’s Ministry of Information has asked the Ministry of Communications to block the online game Roblox, citing its potential dangers to children, according to Al Qabas Arabic-language newspaper.
The decision comes after repeated calls and complaints from large segments of the public, who argued that the game contradicts moral values and social customs, contains scenes of bloody violence, and promotes aggression and inappropriate behaviour.
The request follows similar bans in several countries, including Qatar, Oman, China and Turkey, where authorities have said the platform exposes children to harmful content. Jordan and North Korea have also prohibited the game, citing concerns over the mental health and well-being of minors.
