Dubai: Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that tram services between Dubai Marina Station (No. 5) and Palm Jumeirah Station (No. 9) have resumed normal operations after being temporarily suspended due to a fire in a nearby high-rise building on Friday night.

The suspension was implemented as a precautionary measure to ensure passenger safety and to allow emergency responders full access to the site.

The fire, which broke out late Friday evening, prompted quick action from Dubai’s civil defence teams, who were able to contain the blaze without any reported injuries.

During the disruption, alternative transportation arrangements were recommended to commuters to minimise inconvenience. The RTA expressed gratitude to passengers for their patience and cooperation throughout the incident.

Passengers are advised to stay updated on any further service alerts by checking the RTA’s official channels.
