Dubai: If you’ve already visited the water parks or indoor amusement centres, consider trying something different this summer with hands-on workshops in arts, crafts, and culinary skills. For those looking to spend the season learning something new, these homegrown studios across Dubai offer creative classes for both adults and children.

These workshops are featured in the Dubai Summer Activities Guide, which showcases a diverse range of indoor and outdoor experiences. The guide is part of the #DubaiDestinations campaign by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, aimed at highlighting the city's vibrant summer offerings.

1. MoFun Studio – Arts and crafts for all ages

MoFun Studio is a dedicated DIY destination with a wide variety of creative workshops. From tufting and phone case design to pour art and whipping cream art, there's something for everyone. The studio offers guided sessions in painting, pottery, jewelry making, and more, with expert instructors to assist participants of all ages.

  • Location: Office 205, 623 Jumeirah Street, Umm Suqeim 1, Dubai

  • Timings: Tuesday to Sunday, 11am to 8pm

2. Yadawei Ceramic Studio – Pottery and sculpture

Yadawei is a fully equipped ceramics and pottery studio that operates on a membership model, allowing flexible access for self-paced work. It also offers structured classes in wheel pottery, hand-building, sculpture, and kids’ ceramics. No prior experience is needed, making it suitable for beginners and experienced artists alike.

3. Sagra Italian Pastificio – Learn to make fresh pasta

Sagra is a small Italian pasta shop and micro-restaurant offering weekly workshops on how to make fresh pasta. In a two-hour session, participants learn the fundamentals of Italian pasta-making and prepare their own dish from scratch. It's beginner-friendly and open to anyone looking to explore Italian cuisine hands-on.

4. Huom – Culinary classes and experiences

Huom combines food and learning in one space, offering cooking classes and dining experiences. The venue hosts workshops that cover the basics of cooking in a relaxed environment. Whether you're new to the kitchen or want to improve your culinary skills, Huom’s sessions are designed for all levels.
