Kolkata: PV Sindhu, who became India's most successful women Olympian with two individual medals in back-to-back Games, returned to India from Tokyo to a warm welcome at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi.
The Indian shuttler followed up her silver medal in Rio 2016 with a bronze in women's singles at the ongoing Games on Sunday.
''I am very happy and excited to have been able to repay the faith of the Indian fans. So many people have congratulated me since day before yesterday,'' the ace shuttler told the Badminton Federation of India (BFI). Ajay Singhania, General Secretary of BAI, was at the airport to receive her along with officials of Sports Authority of India (SAI).
