Russian expat Maria Heaven, from Springs, Emirates Living, took this photo of lightning. It was a stormy weekend what with rain and hail striking the UAE.

Some took time out over the weekend to brave the rain and express a little gratitude to nature and its beauty. The Dubai rains did bring a smile to those love outdoors.

Dubai resident Carole Keyrouz, a Lebanese national took this picture as she was in the back of her car. She wanted to capture the lightning lit skies. She could not help capture the rain droplets on the back window of her car that pretty much looks like a collections of stars in the sky.
