In pictures: Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck complete one year of marriage, a look at their relationship

As Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's marriage turns one year old, the 'Waiting for tonight' singer shared a photo from her wedding, which she captioned: "As she shared photos from her wedding, the singer-actress wrote, "One year ago today Dear Ben, Sitting here alone, Looking at my ring ring. Feeling overwhelmed, It makes me wanna sing sing. How did we end up here? Without a rewind! Oh my, this is my life Jennifer. DearBenPartII #ThisIsMeNow."

Ben Affleck has also reciprocated Lopez's attention. Last week, on the occasion of his 51st birthday, he said that he is alive, well and thriving feeling more than satisfied with his life as things have been going very well for him. The actor-producer shares his birthday with Lopez. Lopez had then shared a video with a vintage song on Instagram in celebration of Affleck.

The couple may be celebrating their first wedding anniversary, but they have known each other — and have been romantically linked — for a long time.

In 2003, Affleck and Lopez were rising Hollywood actors when they first met on the set of 'Gigli', a rom-com. The movie ultimately flopped, but sparks flew between the leading costars, according to Harper's Bazaar.

But this was also around the time Lopez was still married to her second husband, dancer Cris Judd. Once Lopez obtained her divorce, she and Affleck went public with their relationship.

But it was no smooth sailing after that. 'Bennifer', as the couple was dubbed then by the media, decided to call off their wedding owing to intense media scrutiny and then decided to part ways. While Affleck married actress Jennifer Garner, Lopez got hitched to singer-songwriter Marc Anthony. The new couples had two kids each.

As the years rolled by, Affleck and Lopez would maintain a healthy regard for each other. Destiny would come calling in 2021, when Affleck reportedly met Lopez at her residence in 2021. Vacations and frequent meetings would follow, when they'd be spotted in public frequently. The stage was set for their wedding.

A year later they got married in Las Vegas. At the time, Lopez said she'd change her last name to "Affleck". The two would get married once again and jet off to honeymoons.
