But beyond the impressive figures, anyone who has travelled through DXB can vouch for the comfort and hassle-free passenger experience at the airport. WILL TRUMP CHANGE HIS STANCE ON COVID-19? US President Trump and his wife Melania have tested positive for the coronavirus just a month before the presidential elections. COVID-19 has not been a respecter of country, class or creed, affecting the rich and poor alike. It has hit world leaders along with everyone else, infecting Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi. But the news marks a major blow for Trump who has continued to speak at campaign rallies across the country and has tried to downplay the risks of the pandemic. A DISSOLVING LIKE NO OTHER Arabtec’s decision to go in for a dissolving of the company could not have come at a worst possible time. And not just for the company and its workforce, or even the many allied businesses that rely on project work from Arabtec to sustain themselves. No, Arabtec’s liquidation cuts much deeper – if economies come with a soul, Arabtec was its lifeblood. It was the name write large on some of the most prestigious project sites of the past, building one landmark after the other. Creating the country’s super-structures that facilitate the smooth flow of people and the wheels of business. Could something more have been done to ensure Arabtec’s survival? Clearly, its shareholders and some of the best minds in the construction business don’t think it’s feasible. IPL IN UAE 2020 To expect a team that gave away 104 runs in the last six overs, especially 62 runs off the final three overs, to win a match is futile. Kings XI Punjab did exactly that and ended up losing to defending champions Mumbai Indians on Wednesday. Mumbai played like champions, performing brilliantly in all areas of the game to record a 48-run victory. Punjab were in control and had allowed Mumbai to score only 124-4 in 16 overs. They even dismissed Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma for 70 at that stage. TAKING THE EDGE OFF It's one of the most painful things a person can bear – but when model Chrissy Teigen and musician John Legend suffered a miscarriage during month 6, they did not retreat from public eye. They showed themselves raw, wounded and grieving, and in doing so allowed those who saw them permission to grieve their own losses. Miscarriages are notorious bullet holes in a person’s psyche, kept hidden and not spoken about – as though the one who has suffered the loss is the one to blame. The conversation has shifted.
