VCUQ students feature works in the gallery of art
The Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar (VCUQ) School of the Arts Gallery presented the Sixth Annual Student Exhibition last week.

The exhibition featured the best student work done in the areas of art foundation, fashion design, interior design and communication design as well as illustration, photography, jewellery and furniture design.

Each programme area chose the work that best represented their students' accomplishments.

"This collection of vibrant, imaginative design is a showcase of the rich diversity and creative talent of our students here at VCUQ," said Karl Burkheimer Chair of the Gallery Committee.

"Each student was given a specific subject matter but they chose their mode of expression. Therefore, each piece of work is distinctive and provides insight into the designer's mind."

The exhibition is open to the public through the summer.

Visitors are welcome to browse the hallways at VCUQ to see the projects that students have been designing all year.

The gallery is open from Saturday to Thursday from 10am to 5pm.
