Dubai: Dubai Police have honoured an Emirati man who found a lost wallet at Expo 2020 Dubai and handed it over to the lost-and-found point at the mega-event.
Khalid Mohammed Al Hosni was honoured for returning the wallet that contained Dh15,000 in cash and other documents.
Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs, praised Al Hosni’s honesty and thanked him during a ceremony attended by several officers.
“He found a wallet containing Dh15,000 and official documents during his visit to Expo 2020 Dubai. He handed over the valuables immediately to one of the lost-and-found points at the site,” Al Mansouri said.
Dubai Police confirmed that the wallet was returned to its owner in due course.
Al Hosni thanked Dubai Police for honouring him, saying that it was a proud moment for him and will motivate him and others to be responsible community members.
