Gulf Andhra Music Awards to be held in Dubai

The third annual Gulf Andhra Music Awards honouring the best in Tollywood music and movies will be held on February 12 at Zabeel Park, Dubai, Kesari Trimurthulu of Gulf Andhra Event told tabloid! yesterday.

Bahubali stars Prabhas, Tamanna, Rana Daggubati and other artistes and producers from last year’s epic film will attend the function to receive the Movie of the Year Award, a new category that has been included in this year’s edition. The event that honoured South Indian directors Bapu and K. Vishwanath with Lifetime Achievement Awards in the last two shows, will be felicitating veteran actor Krishnamraju who is Prabhas’ uncle.

This year awards will be presented in 18 categories, Trimurtulu said. The jury chaired by director K. Raghavendra Rao includes lyricists Jonnavithula Ramalingeswara, Chandrabose, music director Koti and singer Manu. Music director Devisriprasad, singers Manu, Hemachandra, Sunita, Kalpana and Geetamadhuri will entertain the audience with latest in Tollywood music. TV artistes of Jabardast programme are scheduled to perform with their brand of comedy too, Trimurtulu said.
